The official newspaper of the Founding Committee of the Free Trade Unions of the Coast. The title of the newspaper referred to the “Worker” of the Polish Socialist Party, as issued by Józef Piłsudski. The periodical was published irregularly from August 1978 to May 1980 (seven issues). June 1979 saw the publication of the fourth issue edited by the Security Service’s secret collaborator Edwin Myszk. The editorial staff included: Joanna Duda-Gwiazda (editing, editorials and columns), Anna Walentynowicz (writing about the working conditions at the Gdańsk Shipyard), Alina Pienkowska (articles about the industrial health care system), Maryla Płońska (technical editing), Andrzej Bulc, Andrzej Gwiazda, and Bogdan Borusewicz (all three of them published texts devoted to the repressions against the WZZ milieu), and Krzysztof Wyszkowski.
